Ichiro is a life-sized museum-quality replica of a Velafrons coahuilensis dinosaur covered in Wixáritari (a.k.a. Huichol) bead designs, embedded in resin by hand. The bead art depicts four central deities: corn, eagle, deer, and peyote. Adorning a 72 million year-old being that resided in their homelands, Fuentes and Wixáritari artists reimagine space without time.
9 x 4 meters, weight 200 kg.
Steel, resin, fiberglass, and crystal beads.
